SUTPHEN FIRE TRUCKS

SP110
SPH100
SP95
The Sutphen SP95 Aerial Platform features a 93' 7" vertical reach, with dry and wet load capacities of 1,000 and 500 pounds respectively. As with every Sutphen Platform, the S95 has a 3:1 safety design ratio, 6061-T6 aluminum box boom construction, and includes a 2-year aerial device mechanical warranty and a 20-year aerial device structural warranty.

There's nothing like a Sutphen and there's never been an aerial platform like this before.

Our customers wanted more maneuverability and the ability to get into smaller spaces. A larger bucket. More storage. And, they wanted all this without giving up firefighting capability and our famous mid-mount design.

And here it is, the SPH100 Aerial Platform. We used standard setting, state-of-the-art design and engineering techniques along with the finest materials available incorporating everything you ever wanted in an aerial platform and more. More maneuverability. Shorter turning radius. More features. More functionality.

Features:

  • Mid-mount design for safety, stability and lower center of gravity.
  • Box boom design and aircraft style Huck Bolt construction. No welds that can break. Super strength, super performance.
  • Three crosslays standard - two 1-1/2" and one 2-1/2" - 200' capacity for each.
  • Shorter 230" wheelbase for maneuverability and shorter turning radius for negotiating narrow streets, sharp turns, and tight spaces.
  • Shortest overall length 45' 9."
  • Larger bucket, 19.5 sq. ft., to accommodate more equipment and firefighters.
  • Top-of-the-line heavy duty stainless steel bolted body construction.
  • Enclosed rear ladder storage, substantially more useable compartment space.
  • Up to 190' of ground ladders in Truck Company configuration.
  • Low hose bed.
  • More high to low flexibility (more range).
  • Generator mounting does not interfere with useable compartment space.
  • 268 cu. ft. of compartment space.
  • Protected waterway.
  • More effective reach over the cab than any other aerial in the industry.
The Sutphen Magnum, a 110-foot, heavy-duty, mid-mount Aerial Ladder Platform, includes the superior design elements built into every Sutphen Aerial Platform including our proven box boom technology for maximum strength, a fully protected waterway, a proprietary platform leveling system, and use of HuckBolts fasteners rather than welds to create the most effective firefighting performance in the industry.

SP90
Stepping up from a single rear axle to a rear tandem axle, the Sutphen SP90 Platform also offers an extra 23' 7" of vertical reach over the SP70 - making for a truly versatile, yet compact fire apparatus design. And like all Sutphen Platforms, the SP90's hose bed can accommodate 1,000 to 1,200 feet of 5" hose.
SP100
With a wheel base of only 252 inches and a travel length under 50 feet, the Sutphen SP100 Platform combines outstanding maneuverability and compact size in an outstanding firefighting apparatus. Like the SP90, SP95 and Sp110, the SP 100 features Arvin Meritor brakes, and front and rear tandem axles.
SP70

Famous Sutphen mid-mount construction and platform technology provides the basis for our SP70 aerial platform. Add to this Sutphen craftsmanship and you have fire apparatus that give you features and capabilities unmatched in the industry.

Platform Features:

Bucket Features:
  • 70' of vertical reach
  • 1000 lb. platform tip load, 750 lb. flowing water
  • Aerial is unique box boom design, proven over three decades - constructed of aluminum alloy and left natural for easy maintenance
  • Aerial is fully functional to the front of the apparatus providing more forward reach and more options for positioning at the scene
  • Greater effective reach than rear mounted aerials
  • Boom is operational while flowing water
  • Box boom allows for superior performance where higher than usual nozzle reactions and wind load are possible
  • Quick roof exit - box boom design allows fast and safe placement of platform on roof - even over a parapet
  • Enter platform from the ground instead of having to walk the rungs or swing platform - saving time
  • Waterway and hydraulics safely housed within box boom
  • Engineered to be safe, tough and secure with the firefighter in mind - 3:1 structural safety factor

  • Quick access - easy entry and exit from ground level while donning gear or carrying heavy equipment
  • Fast evacuation from up to seven stories
  • Sutphen patented yoke allows more useful place - ment of two monitors on the outside of the bucket, not in the front which obstructs rescue work
  • Standard Elkhart lightweight monitors
  • Hand line discharges are placed on each side of the waterway
  • Patented leveling system self-levels every 3 degrees
  • Yoke attachment point is above center of gravity to maximize stability and safety
  • Bucket is constructed of heat reflecting, high tech aluminum alloy for protection against flash fires and heat exposure
