 | Evansville Regional Airport Fire Department Evansville is located 125 miles west of Louisville, KY in the far southwest corner of Indiana. The Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) includes a Public Safety Department in charge of Fire, Crash Rescue Security and EMS Medical protection throughout the facility and airfields. Each shift 6 firefighters and their full-time Chief train and stand ready for any aircraft or public safety incidents. |  |

All of the ARFF vehicles are made to manuever on and off road for quick access in emergency situations. |

Rescue 2 - 2006 Oshkosh Striker 1500 - 1500gpm/1500gal/210gal Foam/500lb PKP Each day the various rigs are pulled out to test all of their water cannons and spray abilities. Rescue 2 includes one roof-mounted and one bumper-mounted turret. In addition, three nozzles can create a spray underneath the rig as well. This provides protection to the apparatus from a fuel spill, but can also prove helpful in fighting grass fires along the runway. These trucks can simply drive right over smouldering brush to put the fire out fast! |
